The Elizabeth's Phoenix Foundation's The Day of the Dead Balloon Pop!
​
Do you all remember the balloon pop two years ago where Elizabeth nearly sobbed her way through over one hundred balloons?!? So far this year, we've sold 14 balloons! That's not enough to make Elizabeth cry! We want tears, the hysterics and the I hate you's!
​
Yeah, Elizabeth's terrified of them and loathes balloons! So what a great way to raise funds by having Elizabeth do another live Balloon Pop. It is themed on Halloween/Day of the Dead and will happen on the 8th of November, (we delayed a week because of Halloween and DotD celebrations).
​
Each Balloon costs £10 or $15.00. And each will come with a prize! Will you get a nice prize or a booby prize? Only you can find out in the balloon pop! Come along and have some fun watching Elizabeth live on the 8th November 4pm UK time, as she pops the balloons!

Oct 14th 2025 - 2nd December - Gift a Child a Christmas Present event. ​ The Elizabeth's Phoenix Foundation 2025 Toy Drive!
​
This year we are not only sending gifts to Ohio, and Florida but also Chicago, Illinois for the US! For the UK we are sending to Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and also Nottingham!
​
Christmas is a time of year which should be spent with our families. For many children, from birth up to eighteen years old, that doesn't happen. Our goal is to reach as many as we can and provide them a gift which will show that someone is thinking about them. That someone who doesn't know them, cares. We want them to know that someone walks beside them even if they can't see them.
​
For many children, the world is a terrifying place through no fault of their own. They feel alone and isolated and often ripped from things that are familiar even if dangerous for them. A gift won't magically heal them or keep them warm, fed and safe but it will help a little in letting them realise, they are not alone. Sometimes a small gift can mean to the world to a child who has nothing to their name. For the last couple of years the book community, readers and authors have been amazing. We know times are hard for everyone, and we're asking a lot, but even one gift will go a long way to making a child smile. And that is the biggest gift they can give us!

1st December 2025. Valentine Cards! Grab a Valentine Day card from a book boyfriend of your choice from participating authors! Closing date is the 14th of January 2026 for international posting. Further information to come!
